Our Story
The It Figures Box was created out of gratitude for the sport and the adult figure skating community. Having been blessed with love and support by their fellow skaters during the most difficult times of their lives, our co-founders sought a way to pay it forward.
Our goal is to provide a community to support adult skaters with information that is specific to their unique needs. We strive to encourage our skating community in achieving their goals, overcoming challenges, and continually improving their skills and life while addressing the specific obstacles and concerns of the adult figure skater.
Whether you grew up skating and are returning to your passion, never left the sport, or are new to the ice and starting lessons for the first time as an adult, we are committed to providing more than just a box of skating swag.
Meet the Team
Co-Founders
Amber and Amy are the co-founders of the It Figures subscription box for adult figure skaters. Amber and Amy met at the ice rink, Amber the coach and Amy the beginner skater. What initially started out as a coach and student relationship, quickly turned into friendship, and now a fun and exciting business venture
Amber has skated most of her life, coached multiple adult synchronized skating teams, and has had many adult skaters as students. She prefers working with the adult skater and she understands the unique challenges learning as an adult brings. Amber seeks to be an advocate for adult figure skating. She is passionate about encouraging others to continue with their passions without worrying there is a time limit on joy.
Amy is the spark behind the box... the idea queen! With her vision and creativity a community and subscription box was born. Amy began skating at the age of 28 and fully understands the challenges and joys figure skating brings. Our hope is that the It Figures box brings as much joy to you as we have in creating the experience.
